In the depths of the internet, where the veil of secrecy is thinly veiled, lies a world that is as desolate as it is fascinating. It is a realm where the codes of societal norms are frayed, and the pedestals of what is deemed acceptable are knocked down with reckless abandon. They call it “civilized,” but we know better. This world is comprised of agents, subagents, and provocateurs, each with their own agendas and motivations.
It started on a thread on an obscure online forum, a quiet exchange that was largely overlooked. But not for long. The user, known only by their handle “nnm4qcol7tcydnclaos,” had stumbled upon something big. A torrenting site, not so different from the others, had fallen into their possession. But this one was…different. The name of the site, if it could be called that, was “reddtube,” and it had a following that was to say the least, obsessed.
Their users’ fixation on reddtube bordered on fanaticism. It was all-consuming, a void in their lives that no amount of sex or violence could fill. And it was not just the normal fare of internet trolls that were drawn to it. Educated people, with respectable professions and homes, were also regulars. There were also executives, mini-celebrities, Wikipedia editors, media members, jury members, motivational speakers, who in daily life, used they/them wording.
This novel explores those societies where the perceived lower rungs of society cease to exist and these “respectable” citizens freely embrace their documented addictive obscenities.
